Now when compiling I get the error Couldn´t start Build & View:PdfLaTeX:"C:Program Files (x86)/MikTeX 2.9/miktex/bin/pdflatex.exe" -synctex=1 - interaction=nonstopmode "002-minimal".tex. You can use knitr rather than classic Sweave for weaving Rnw files. (Strg+B in Qt Creator) if 'libzlib.dll' is not found by the linker (in the build step), try to set an aboslute reference. This is to ensure the script will always produce the same result and not be effected by (or pollute) your regular R environment. Open texstudio.pro Optionally change the target (debug/release). Of course the disappeared texstudio.exe and launcher should be terminated before doing it. Simply deleting the file does not work as its existence is not checked (or copied in case of absence) by the launcher at the start. Then try the same thing with the > command. I can recover by replacing the texstudio.ini in Datatexstudio with the default from AppDefaultDatatexstudio. First, find out what command > is trying to run (theres probably a setting for it somewhere). I´m compiling this example file from the knitr website: documentclass is a big number. If I try to use an external pdf viewer (adobe acrobat or sumatraPDF )the compiling process seems to finish as it is supposed to do.
